Screening

Developmental screening assessments help to identify children who may be at risk and require occupational therapy intervention

These are not comprehensive assessments but serve to determine the presence of potential red flags or warning signs that may indicate an underlying vulnerability.

The advantage of a screening assessment is that it is more affordable and therefore more accessible for parents. The drawback however, of such an assessment, is that it may not offer a holistic view of the child’s vulnerabilities.

At Therapy Junction we offer individual screening assessments within the following areas of development:

  • Infant development and milestones
  • Visual perceptual skills
  • Behaviour and social skills
  • Fine motor skills
  • Gross motor skills and postural control
